Disney Clubhouse Collection

A very challenging order from a customer I know in an exhibition...she really challenge me with this six little adorable character for her two year old Birthday party. Glad she gave me this priceless chance to prove my ability on this.

She ordered just a very simple chocolate moist cake for this special occasion but the character is definitely a difficult time for such priceless collection.

All in all she ordered 24 (M) size cupcakes with a mini 5" cutting cake. I was all arranged in a three tier coloured tier specially made by the birthday girl mom, couldn't manage to catch the tier coz' I completed the whole collection during 4am in the morning. After the delivery I was out station for three days.

When I came back from the get away, I was really relief my customer satisfied on this delivery. She mention to me on the disappointment she had previously before, so it was really a challenging order to take in.

Honestly to myself, I wasn't too satisfied with the outcome, maybe it's also my first time...anyway anything starts with a first time. It does make me braver now.

Everything comes with a sweet ending, the most importantly wasn't the one who paid in fact, the one who appreciate it so much when she saw the goofy. I was amazed myself, of all I think I do kind of like Goofy too, especially the two tiny white tooth, it really took me ages to stick that too tiny dot and make sure it holds, hahaha...

Banana Babies

This was really a simple Mother's day babies. Wasn't too well to really make it a big occasion so just have some balance of nice and sweet banana's left on my dining table so it was a weekend and most of the time the children will head to the pool so I just decide to make this little ones hope that they'll like it.

It's like one bite for adults and two for the kids. It turn out great, the texture and taste just great in fact I never expect it will finish just within hours... Kids are always kids, they blend in their own topping, I feel it will taste funny because all they want is peanut butter chocolate.

I felt bad that this time I make it so simple never really have the mood, heart and mind to do it the very best, maybe like my own mother always says it may look simple but the effort and heart to make something nice and sweet is always the best.

To all Mothers out there, Happy Mothers Day. Sorry I'm late....because my PC down.

Carrot Ginger & Sugee Cake (1st May 2010)

This was specially made for my brother in-law's wedding, wasn't that satisfy with the whole outcome, I rather turn this into a three tier wedding cake with some extras elaboration, it looks so small and no one even notice but glad this is the very first wedding that I have done it big, it was really an honoured to get assign by his auntie and my in-law to have such confident that I can do this....

This is a traditional wedding carrot ginger cake which I adapted from Debbie Brown wedding book....regret that I never really took an individual cake which I did for gift aways...and this cake really challenge me, the classic Eurasian Sugee cake and I did it in 270 pieces....it really turn me into a cake monster the real day.

Very sorry to those that attended the wedding and if I miss out on any one of you do please forgive me, the smile doesn't seems to come by, mind still very blur...did it all by myself but a very big thank you to Uncle Rocky's family that make this whole thing happened even they just drop by for three to four hours but some how or rather He never gave up on me....

The shots are bad but anything will have the first time...the figure is also a big thank you from Debbie brown step by step which is so detail.

The Groom's head came off three times and the more I do the more it looks like the real groom, I got no Idea that the groom wears grey on the real wedding day and most of them does notice the similarity on the figures, the brides hand came off almost four times and the weight like doesn't comes right....thanks to my mum's home too...the humidity here makes the thing almost impossible to make this figure hardened. A very big thank you to those wasn't been mention in even my own hubby helps me allot. Glad I never give up.

Rich Butter Peach cake (2nd Easter Collection)

This was my very first time doing Easter jelly eggs and packaging like Malay wedding so bad...hopefully doesn't disappoint them especially my auntie. Thank you for giving me another good opportunity to do something new. Just regret that never manage to get the picture of the peeled egg which contains mix fruit, with tinge of pink.

The cake was rather disappointing coz' I do notice it's slightly dry at the edge, really hope for the very best coz' everyone have individual taste bud though.

Japanese Cotton cheesecake (1st Easter Collection)

Just meant for a close family occasion, was baked back for my in laws and kids. This was my mom's in law's favourite light cheesecake. I was quite disappointed with the whole outcome of the topping...because it was so light until it can't cope the heaviness of melted chocolate, what more the sugar figure, it might be small but the weather kills it all.

Assorted Cheesecake

This cake is ordered to be place in a Tea house but mainly for testing. The very first one is banana custard cheesecake, is a rich cheesecake, the second one is a classic digestive cheesecake with grainy combination of cocoa, brown sugar and crushed nuts, also a rich one.

The third one was a rich Macadamia cheesecake which needs to be cooked on stove top. Well this cake is individual preference but the fragrant of the roasted macadamia nuts with fresh milk will tell you what it taste like.
The last one is a light cheesecake which layered over vanilla sponge lining, roasted ground hazelnut cheesecake. To be honest not many people know how to enjoy good cheesecake so end of it is still towards individual taste buds.

Strawberry Cheese cakelet

This cake is really challenging, but worth alot upon trying and love it. It's just for a weekend tea purposes. Couldn't resist on the colour, this is my very first time using strawberry, I personally not a fan of strawberry and I guess I did this not in the season and it cost me a bomb.

The strawberry is sour to be honest maybe it's not the season here in Malaysia. The cake itself is really challenging and the process took me quite long in fact, especially the straining through the fine sift after it cooked.

What surprise me most is the texture of the sponge lining came out to be tender, moist and just nice, not sour not too sweet but very fragrant.

The cream cheese itself is killing me to do it, maybe the timing is too short. In the original recipe have gelatin but to me I felt it's unnecessary so I just left it as it is and mix in extra fresh milk and single whipped to make it a smoother texture.

I left it overnight to get this result. Seems that everything is really on my side this time it turn out just alright to me and the taste which everyone seems to love it. Glad I try. Just yummy not just by the look but also to the last bite.

Sugee Cake (Petit Fours)

This was a sample wedding cake (petit fours), for my brother in-law's coming wedding...manage just one. Estimated for 270 pieces. They wanted a two colour, which is purple and pink.

They finalised with sugee and chocolate moist. Hopefully I don't disappoint them. This was just something like it but the real outlook have to be surprise and the main mini cake should be a real surprise for the couple itself. Wish them all the very best and God be with them throughout the whole new journey of life together.

More Black Forest cake

Ordered by my mum's friend for their friend's husband's Birthday.
Most of them are senior citizen, mainly on health conscious and some are diabetic...vegetarian so, try to make as light as possible. Upon the design it horrible to be, maybe was tied up with something else in mind and looks more like a Christmas cake to me then a birthday cake...the chocolate shavings are Cadbury milk chocolate...it was practically for 20 person.
Glad all of them love it very much especially the the taste and flavour which minus the liqueur...looks like this cake gains a lot of fan.

Black Forest Cake

Firstly I would like to Thank an Auntie who give me allot of ideas and courage to make this piece, it was a very hurry piece of masterpiece, it really require a lot of squeezing to my own mind what to do when the reunion includes those that requires special health diet that needs to look into, even some who doesn't consume milk and cheese.

So, this was a really good choice given by my auntie, it's a very light cake that anyone can take with the least sugar involved and the highest quality of light sweetened whole cherries and the the Gold Label fresh cream which is light and creamy. Deco is fully handmade with almond paste to blend in all.

The best part was the instant feedback from everyone which had the cake after our steamboat dinner really feels relief and happy, they love it and the compliment was something that makes me feel completely satisfied. Love you all and most of all I enjoy baking even more.

Ginger Carrot Cake

This is really an Honour to do such a special cake for such big occasion for someone who is so near yet so far to myself, but reaching the age of 84 wasn't many can do, thank to my dad and my brother giving me such chances to make this happen. I was actually dead tired and still sick till today but with an open heart and the determination I have, I just hope it arrives in one piece.

To be honest the idea of this figure and the whole thing was by my brother who helps me on research. Everything have the first time for me, this special moist cake usually used for wedding cakes because it's rich, moist, heavy and costly. On this special piece of masterpiece I kind of satisfy from the beginning till the end, it seems to be very smooth from the process of baking, the time, the figurine, the wording and the final level on the baking came out so so perfect, the moisture, the rising till the topping with white chocolate Australia butter cream finishes just enough.

Hopefully every thing's great too when grandma have a piece, I just wonder how is her expression, on the cake, the taste, I wish I'm there. Hope to get some feedback whether the figurines still standing or already collapse during the hand carry delivery...everything is hard to predict and anything can happen within the 12hrs before it arrives to dad....

CNY Orange Yoghurt Cake

First of all would like to wish everyone that drop by a very Happy, Joyful, Peaceful and Smooth year who willing to drop by and give a glance to a good start for the year of 2010 for me.

This cakes are ordered by those being very surportive since I started, Thank you very much. This three CNY cake is not custominzed at all infact they give me quite a hard time on their budget constrain to work on such big cake...hopefully the cake tasted good enough to overcome the extra sweet on the buttercream, sorry and this was my very first time on buttercream, which to me is the worst choice of topping ever.

I got the response of the first reaction when they open it, but to be honest when I ask for special request they never answer but it's good to learn some lesson from the past. To be honest, it's more then 1kg-1.5kg for an Orange Yoghurt Cake.... To my surprise these days even a small an unknown of a bakery shop, for a normal sponge fruit cake of 800gm with topping is RM48...wow, then I was like got stuck on my throat....

I really hope that teaches me alot, but for a good cause on this Prosperous New Year, hope to have a continuos surpport from you all.

This wordings is really a hard one for me, a combination of four word into one. I know this wasn't really good of a out of idea kind of stuff, it's very hard when your customer don't provide what they want and feel disappointed when they receive what they expected for...very sorry I suppose can't blame me fully.

Never really felt satisfied at all if compared with last year Christmas order which I have a full staisfaction on the final sent off to my customers, anyway thank you all the aunties and uncles for unstopable support and given me chance alot and of course each task or orders, I learn as I go....
