Milky Gula Melaka Cheesecake

I personally apologise for this bad shot but this is all I have for this time, this was specially made for my Dad in law, his Birthday is just a day before Father's Day so I just thought to combine everything in one.

This was actually a very bad one which the results was what I expected it to turn out to. First this was the naked cake itself, the baking process was just great until my young ones came home in the evening and I left my undressed cake unattended on my dining table in fact before I remove the cake pan.

Went to the kitchen to fix dinner for them and turn back and look at my cake been eaten.....ooooh the defect on the cake make my heart just speechless, don't know what to do and no mood to even go onto the decorating the very night.

So I just left it to cool and into the fridge to cool till the very next morning. This time I just topped with semi sweet chocolate ganache hopefully things will turn out not so bad. I don't have much tools and which disappoint me is that I bought a wrong piping tip for my leaves.....thats the worst part.

My figures broke few times due to the humidity of the weather lately, in fact my wheelbarrow's handle broke off and I have to patch in no time before we left home to my in laws place....very disappointed, luckily the whole combination of the base, the cheesecake and the topping came to a satisfying point, where I think it's just ok.

This cake was specially made for my dad in-law who is a diabetic, so the whole cake is sugarless, only the base is blend in with some brown sugar to have the sweet, salty, grainy and bitter. The cake is cooked with pandan leaf, coconut sugar, coconut milk, fresh milk and cheese. The topping is whipped with bitter sweet chocolate.

To him it's still rich, to ordinary people who enjoys cheesecake maybe it's just fragrant.

Father's Day Topper

This topper was made for my husband, where each small bear represent both my two little angel with each favourite colour flower on top of the bear head, sorry for the bad shot it wasn't so clear but just ok for viewing purposes.

This topper was also place on a mini cheesecake to be presented by my daughter to my husband. I never manage to catch the look after he took them out. Because my elder daughter couldn't resist the sugar each time she sees it, oh this time she ate all the ears and left them without ears and told her father to put into the fridge so he can have it the next morning.

My auntie came and saw it when my husband took out from the fridge and she said oh it looks like mini Orang Utans...awwh what a pity, but glad I make it special for everyone who I consider them Father. On the making my small one saw it but all she said is so nice those family bears, never let my big one to see until the very day to ask her to present it to her dad, if not things might be missing from every where.

To me the looks on the recipient is all that matters most to me....and the look of satisfaction on those who ate the last piece.

Father's Day Topper

This was specially custom made for my dad on this special day, using fondant paste. This I have some free tutorial by my special Flickr friends, surprise to spend not much time on a two piece thing, all are edible just the uncooked pasta which I use to secure both daddy and child head to the body so that it doesn't drop off easily.

Kind of heavy but the size is just nice for a mini cake size of 2 and a half inches in diameter.

Sorry never manage to get the shot with my Oreo mini cheesecake, because I was in a hurry to pack it very securely before I sent it off by courier service and the packing took me ages rather then the molding...haha.

I wasn't too sure if the cake reach in shape or is already off most of the parts.

Glad I made it and I manage to sent off my Thursday and reach him by Friday, at least knowing that I wasn't late.

About the mini cake, sorry if comment were leave and without any cake to view and just the topper, here I apologize, it's just my normal Oreo cake where I place exactly one whole piece of Oreo biscuit and the rest of the cakes are bits of Oreos' which is finely crushed and I mixed it all together to have the tiny little black dots all over the yellow cheese...hopefully whoever who loves to imagine and I was rather satisfied with the outcome of the shape and taste, all just blend in just nice, not too sweet, the height and the all in all shape of the cake.

Chocolate Moist cuppies

This was a last minute cake to goes with the main cake, that is why it looks matching but specially made for my auntie in-laws family of six, sorry if it's too little just trying out my new packaging I found it on my way back from one of the bakery shop I went the day before the weekend.

It's a Chocolate moist cuppies topped with cream cheese frosting and the blueberry blend fondant decoration.

Even the rose buds are a last minute thing, I spoilt some in fact. The daisies are also some last minute addition. My husband was watching me and he said I was decorating the enchanted garden...

Banana Custard Cheesecake

6th of June 2009 was a very special occasion this year for all of us, probably even for my mum and dad in-law, because there is a new edition added to our family, my new sister in-law to be, it won't take too long to be my sister in-law.

This is specially made for my mother in-law on her birthday and also happen to be our Malaysia Kings Birthday. So today is special. It's a new cake which I found it ok for me, just that regretted to put into the restaurant fridge which happen to be our dinner spot that night, not cold enough to really put the cheesecake into the right texture to savour after our dessert.

It's a Banana Custard Cheesecake, topped with white chocolate caramel sauce plus some Blueberry blend of fondant flowers and stuff. Oh yes about how many roses and why is it 11, I'll leave for you to find out whats the meaning of 11 stalks of roses with the two special combination colours to go with.

One more happiest thing to all of us is my mother in-laws closest sisters and brother in-law, nieces, nephew and granddaughters are down to celebrate with her.

In fact this is my very first roses that teach by one of my Flickr friend by the name Asa hellgren (emelyasa) from Stockholm, Sweden, who is so kind to give me the most simplest tutorial that doesn't need a single cent and tools but hand sculpted. But to me it worth a million. Thank you very much.

Hopefully it turns out ok for some professional who happen to drop by and have a look at my work.

Oops sorry to elaborate...but all in all glad to have something presentable.

Marbled Brownie

This recipe was given to me by one of my flickr friends from Australia, and worth a try, it's a combination of chocolate and cheese.

At first I was reluctant to give it a shot even it looks nice online, because i seldom does brownie but i think i have some spare cheese to give it a try.

So I told my daughter this time we try something different, and she willing to try, as usual she loves chocolate a lot and i was rather surprise that she turns out loving it even some of my colleague doesn't seems to like because it was too rich for them.

For me the taste was just ok, nmmm...if to say it is a very special one I would admit that it does have a unic taste maybe someone who prefer it rich but if for some ordinary people who enjoy dessert at the so so pase, they can't really take such rich quality taste.

I use imported swiss chocolate for melting with brown sugar, added with Philadelphia cream cheese so, for those who loves dessert which is super rich, they may love this.

Carrot Cheesecake n Cuppies

This cakes and cuppies are made specially for the real day of my daughter's birthday to be celebrated with her class mates and teacher's in school.

Wasn't a good shot, but manage to capture some of the process that i make to complete the exact piece. It might look very similar like the very first one which I did it for the weekend but i can't help just because she loves the purple dinosaur so much.

The puppies are made specially for those born of the doggy year of 2003, since this is for all of them who born on the same year so i just decided to place some in for the fun of looking at the expression of those little ones. Decide on a very last minute coz' I'm totally out of idea. The doggy was without any support on the neck that is why it's fully on the ground, hopefully it's as cute as i imagine.

This are the twelve cuppies which i did it for her classmates. I'm rather surprise with the outcome and i did it with deep thoughts on what it might allergic for those little ones, so i finalise it with cream cheese frosting so that i don't need any raw eggs in any of the butter cream. Teachers feedback was rather pleasing with the looks on the kids face when they saw the food...all the ask can we actually eat the cute little things on top of the so called cupcakes....kids this days can be very imaginative though.

This topper was initially o be on top of the cake but this mini cake turns out to be too high for my box, luckily i prepared a rather bigger base for this cake so all of what i have hand molded for the cake have to lay on the base in front of the cake and i have to secure it's position with tiny bit's of cream cheese so it doesn't toppled all over the box. Oh yes those tiny little buds of roses was thought by my flickr friends online hope the outcome of it doesn't disappoint her. My first time.

This is the exact mini cake looks like, again the shot is horrible I really wish i had a better and sharper view to show, because i kind of like the final of what i put together. Well my small one really love purple so i have no choice to put in more colour to make it not so boring and she agrees on the pink anyway, but she keep s telling people and her friend that's Chlo and Barney celebrating her birthday, glad she loves it. Since this is my very first time to put in some 3D stuff together, in the near future i will improve better.
